Cahoon's Market is ¼ mile away on the beach road just past Jennette's Pier. It has a wide variety of grocery items if you forget something and just need a quick run out (food, beer, ice, wine, etc.). It also has a variety of fishing gear and bait.
Oregon Inlet Fishing Center - (10 min. due south on Rt. #12) Fun to go watch charters return daily and lay out their catch on the docks!! (3pm - 4:30pm +/-); occasionally get to see some huge fish being weighed.
Austin's Fish Company is the one and only stop you need to make!! They have just about any seafood you can think of!! All their seafood is locally caught, probably in the previous 24 hrs. so its crazy fresh! They also steam/spice shrimp, a variety of steamer buckets to go, just call ahead as they have a daily time cut off depending on the volume of orders they get. (April - September only)
Use the Xumo remote to turn on all TVs and the cable boxes. Select the Spectrum app to watch live cable tv channels.
Select your favorite streaming app from the Xumo home screen and use your personal account/login to watch them.
Remember to log out of all apps when you leave at the end of your stay.
If the above doesn't work, use the TV remote to ensure the correct HDMI input is selected.
Temperature Control
In the SUMMER MONTHS (May - September), please close the blinds/curtains in the master bedroom and family room when you leave the condo for any extended times. This will help keep the condo cooler. Please close the blinds/curtains when you check out in the Summer.
In the WINTER MONTHS, leaving the curtains/blinds open will take advantage of natural solar heating. Please leave them open when you check out.
Emergency Lighting
There is a green lantern on a side table that is charged and can also be solar charged, just set near window for sunlight; it has 3 brightness settings, just press the button to cycle through them.
There are 3 nightlights that double as flashlights, they are plugged into outlets in the master bathroom, wall to the right of the bookcase just outside the kitchen, and in the hallway to the 2 other bedrooms; on the sides of them are switches to turn the flashlight on and off.
Click on the above and create an account for free. There are options to buy a 10-day pass or an annual pass (coastal or inland). You get the permit instantly via e-mail so you can use it right away.
Wi-Fi / Internet
Wi-Fi and TV service are both provided by Spectrum. You may check for outages at www.spectrum.net/support and query “check outage.”
